I graduated from King Abdulaziz University, Faculty of Medicine in 1995. I then moved to Toronto, Canada to join a training program in Cardiac Surgery. I obtained the Fellowship of the Royal College of Surgeons of Canada in 2005. I then did a fellowship in Pediatric and congential Cardaic Surgery at the Hospital for Sick Children in Toronto. From 2007 to 2010, I joined the Hospital for Sick Children as a staff Surgeon and was appointed assistant professor of Surgery at the University of Toronto. I moved back to King Abdulaziz University in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia in 2010.
